Make Music
Kitsap County

About

Make Music Day-Kitsap County is delighted to be part the global celebration of people from all walks of life making music on June 21, the first day of summer.

From the very northern tip of Kitsap County, through Bainbridge Island and to towns of Central and South Kitsap; from the Puget Sound on one side to the Hood Canal on the other, everyone will be welcome to play or listen to music – in venues ranging from the traditional to the novel – and the best part is that it is absolutely free!

Please visit the Global site to get a sense of the size and scope of the entire festival.

HOW IT WORKS!

It is Pretty /Very Simple.

VENUES  – any public space wishing to host musicians – be it a cafe, or a gallery, or a  hotel lobby or a beach or a park or a loading dock or a library or a ? simply sign up on this site or if you prefer, contact us directly.

In exchange you will get a link on this web site,  your logo if you are a business, inclusion in all of the publicity material to be distributed throughout Greater  Puget Sound, – our thanks – and a front row seat to enjoy the MUSICIANS!

MUSICIANS – Similar idea – you can sign up directly on this website, or contact us directly, let us know in what part of the county you would like to perform and then you and a Venue will get matched.

The SCHEDULE of who is performing where and when will be on this website, as well as on an app with maps and directions and all the info needed to make for a musical day like you never imagined.

Participate

Make Music Day is all about participating!

One way people participate is to offer their public space as a

VENUE!

As Venue owners or managers come forward , interested and excited about participating in Make Music-Kitsap, they will be listed on this page, along with their web links, and general contact information.

A venue can be as traditional as a cafe, gallery or park – or as creative as a library, or a dock in one of our beautiful marinas

As Kitsap County is a pretty large area, every attempt will be made to identify the area of the county where each venue is located, possibly with maps!

Over the winter, Venues will be getting their own page on this site, but for now, they will be listed here

The other way folks can participate is as a

MUSICIAN!

Musicians need not be professional – need not have ever played in front of real people before – or they can be world known performers who sell out major arenas  – Make Music Day welcomes all.

Musicians can either sign up on this website, or can contact the organizers directly and we will help you through the process, including working with you and the venues to get you in the perfect location.

Musicians will be listed on a seperate page, and  in the master schedule, with this page being an early placeholder.

Finally – you can participate as a member of the

AUDIENCE!

Both this website and the downloadable app will have the updated schedule with performers and venues listed in a real time resource.

AND! – it is all completely free

Support

Make Music Day-Kitsap is unlike any music festival anywhere on earth.

The event is completely free to the public – every  venue to be listed on the schedule has agreed to open their doors to all at no cost, and performers are not being paid by the festival, nor are they paying to participate.

However, it does cost money to make it all happen – to publicize the event and the performances as well as  to coordinate the hundreds/thousands of moving parts throughout the large geographic area that is Kitsap County.
