Caleb Yang

Caleb Yang is a cellist based in Nashville. As a soloist, he has performed Bloch’s “Schelomo” for cello and orchestra under the baton of Neal Stulberg. As an improvising musician, Caleb blends elements from a diverse scope of genres. His live looping arrangements and compositions have garnered him unique solo performances across the country. Collaborations include performing with the ARC Ensemble (Artists of The Royal Conservatory), the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz Performance, and Silkroad's Global Musician Workshop alongside Abeer Nehme, Kala Ramnath, and Hankus Netsky. As a commercial musician, Caleb has toured with country singer Martina McBride, performed with artists including David Cook and Emily Weisband, and recorded as a session musician for Postmodern Jukebox, Flavour, and many others. Caleb teaches privately and in workshop settings, and holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Cello Performance at UCLA and a Master of Music in Commercial Music at Belmont University.
