Make Music Day is an international event where musicians of all types, skill sets, and ages to come together with venues for FREE and open-air celebrations of music. This day is less about good or bad and more about community experience.
Make Music NWCT is proudly presented by the NWCT Arts Council.
Make Music Day happens on the summer solstice every year, June 21st. This year, the event falls on a Sunday. We can’t wait to see what creative ways musicians and venues execute performances this year!
2020 is the third year that Northwest CT is participating. As situations develop with COVID-19, venues and musicians should use their discretion when signing up to participate, and get creative to host safe and socially distant performances. Venues are strongly encouraged to register as soon as possible, and start promoting their participation in this event.
Who can participate in Make Music Day?
- Anyone is welcome to participate! Whether you are a seasoned professional or you’ve never performed in public before, this day is for you.
Spread the word! The more people who participate the more magical the day will be!
