The Jazz Foundation of America (JFA) has the mission to save jazz and blues music “one musician at a time” by providing financial, medical, housing, and legal assistance — as well as performance opportunities — to musicians who have paid their dues and now find themselves in need.
This year the JFA is sponsoring Make Music gigs in New York, Buffalo, Detroit, Los Angeles, and Madison, bringing more free, high-quality jazz to the public on June 21 and giving performance opportunities to over a dozen living jazz legends.
