Tolly

Queer alternative pop rock shamelessly delving into sex, religion, and identity.

Tolly is the final evolution of Andrew Tolman’s musical adventure. Tolly grew up in Tucson, Arizona to a religious but supportive household. His musical passions were obvious from day 1. Eventually, In high school and college, he joined a band officially. After releasing 2 albums with the group Lauryl pre-2009, he went on to release a solo album under the name Andrew Tolman and The Dirty Gentlemen. Today, he lives in Portland, OR and goes by Tolly, a nickname borrowed from his father’s time in the MLB. Tolly is the full realization of non-binary, non-hetero-conforming, queer musical expression living outside of genre lines. Rock, rap, and pop elements mix to create sonic expressions in easily digestible pop song format. Tolly has a commitment to accessibility, so every performance has ASL Interpreters, and every visual project Tolly creates is in collaboration with the Deaf community at large.
