Chris Estes

Country Blues

Chris Lee Estes on guitar, harmonica and vocals. Chris writes all of his music, which he say's comes "outta the blue." Chris was born in Aberdeen, Washington, to Donald Estes and Doris Nordstrom. His musical talents come either from his father, who played trumpet for a big band, or as Chris might tell you, he could very well be the soul partner of Black Country blues artist Sleepy John Estes. Chris tutored his harmonica licks with the help of Phill Wiggins and Arthur Moore. He was influenced by the British Bluesmen until his high school friend Mark Weisgram turned him on to what Chris refers to as 'Real Blues', with the likes of Muddy Waters, Little Walter, Lightin' Hopkins, Robert Johnson, and Sonny Boy. Chris writes and plays from his gut. He says, "It's a feeling that comes from my emotions and personal experiences". Chris has been playing the past 25 years, and is looking forward to you hearing him! For more information contact Chris Lee Estes at ....
