Psychic Poppies

Psychic Poppies is a collaborative 70’s Psych tinged Dream Pop project by Songwriter/Guitarist Chris Maxie and Producer/Multi Instrumentalist Dani Gentry. We like to describe it as “Phantom Flower Music”— a Poppy is an international symbol of remembrance. The music is a hazy attempt at capturing feelings that arise when living and operating under human systems that are cruel and unnatural. Poppies songs are mournful, nostalgic, yearnful and hopeful. Why is brutality the dominant game in town? Why not punch up instead of down? It’s not all serious though: romance and fun are always here, even in the darkest of times. Psychic Poppies first “Single” will release on streaming platforms in late May, early June. A full EP is set to release by end of August.
