James Baldwin
As a child, Jim imagined a large round ashtray with a wooden handle as a guitar, singing along with his brother’s Kingston Trio LP’s. Over the years, his instruments have gotten more refined, and his love for music has deepened. For many years a guitarist who sang, in recent years Jim has transformed into a singer/songwriter who plays guitar. “The difference may be subtle,” he says, “but the song is what’s important, and the voice is the way people connect to it.”
