There is an abundance of ways that everyone in our community can participate in Make Music Day. Whether it’s a freestyle session with friends in a neighborhood park or your band performing in the driveway, let us know where you’ll be making music so that we can spread the word for you. The possibilities are endless, so let your creativity take over! Some of the easiest ways to participate:
- Local businesses can open their patios or green space as a venue on June 21st and allow our music makers to book performance time using our online matchmaking tool, or even organize their own set of performances and activities to celebrate the day and add them to the schedule.
- Musicians could organize free socially distanced lessons or submit tutorial videos that can be shared with the community.
- Performers of all types can sign up at a participating venue, submit links to live or pre-recorded videos for sharing, or even just send us an email letting us know where they will be and what they are doing.
- Music lovers can make your their own instruments and host a kitchen concert with the kids or take the time to learn about a style of music you haven’t heard before.
