Albion’s Fete de la Musique

Fête de la Musique ( World Day of Music) has been celebrated in Albion Michigan since 2005. Albion’s sister city, Noisy-Le-Roi in France helped us to get this celebration going.

Musicians come and share their musical gifts for free, and there is no admission.

The first day of summer is chosen as a day on which the world celebrates the magical gift of music. Promotes music as the universal language.

We gather along the sidewalks, inside the local businesses, or in the parks along our downtown playing music. We celebrate music. From recorders to accordians, band instruments to string instruments, drums made out of buckets, or kids blowing kazoos we welcome all to participate where and when they can.

World Day of Music is celebrated all over the world and music connects us all.
