Sousapalooza with Robert Coulter and Friends
Sousapalooza (https://makemusicday.org/national-projects/sousapalooza/) is a special event that invites hundreds of brass, wind, and percussion players to come together on Make Music Day, all over the world, and sightread the music of John Philip Sousa, the world's best-known and best-loved composer of marching band music. Presented by Make Music Day's (https://makemusicday.org) local chapter, Make Music Day Atlanta (https://www.makemusicday.org/atlanta), and facilitated by the Atlanta Federation of Musicians (https://atlantamusicians.com), Sousapalooza invites brass, wind, and percussion players of all ages and skill levels to come play together!! Atlanta based tubist Robert Coulter leads this special event with two other Local union musicians, and all are welcome to come read along. AFM will provide all participating musicians and families with chairs, tents, stands, tables, and printed sheet music, and a BBQ with carnivore and herbivore options, and beverages.
