Marshall Verbsky
He’s been writing songs his whole life, but his love for the guitar is more recent. It was just 6 years ago when he picked up the guitar as a way to deal with his insomnia. Marshall plays almost exclusively in Double-Drop-D. He believes that tuning has an unmatched tonality and flexibility…and it certainly contributes to his unique sound. Marshall says he draws most of his inspiration from the folk world’s modern storytellers. His favorites are --- Chris Thile, Robin Pecknold, and Evan Stephens Hall. In Marshall’s words: “All I want to do is affect positive change in the world through my music. If I can make even one person feel a little less alone, then I’ve done my job.”
