Brandon Jones

Brandon Jones was raised in a family of amateur folk/bluegrass musicians, and spent many a night listening to his father and uncles play music around campfires. He later received formal training in his school band program on trombone, and went to college to earn a degree in Music Education. After teaching band in the public schools for several years, he went to graduate school to earn masters and doctorate degrees in Conducting. During this time he learned to play guitar, and rekindled his love of acoustic music. Brandon's day job is Professor of Music at Wittenberg University, and as a different creative outlet he performs acoustic covers from the '60s through today at local venues and private events. Brandon plays a wide variety of music including folk-inspired songs by John Denver and James Taylor, classic acoustic rock like The Beatles and The Eagles, '80s & '90s covers from the likes of Tom Petty and Green Day, and music from the 2000s like Dave Matthews and Jason Mraz.
