About

Make Music Day Denver

Make Music Denver is a festival designed to showcase local musical talent and inspire others to play music. Performers of all ages, races, levels, and styles of music are welcome. This year, we will be hosting a free, safely distanced, in-person festival across multiple stages & music-making event locations in Downtown Denver! See the latest in event details right here

About Make Music Day

Originally started in France in 1982,  Make Music Day is a celebration of music around the world, now held on the same day in more than 1,000 cities in 120 countries. Completely different from a typical music festival, Make Music is open to anyone who wants to take part. Every kind of musician — young and old, amateur and professional, of every musical persuasion — pours onto streets, parks, plazas, and porches to share their music with friends, neighbors, and strangers. All of it free and open to the public.

Mission

Connect all Denver community members, regardless of age, race, musical experience, or ability, to make and enjoy music together every June 21, while also encouraging further participation in music-making and community building all year round.

Vision

A city where all community members are enabled to make music and feel connected and supported in their engagement to each other through the arts.

Make Music Denver is a community organization sponsored by Confluence Ministries & Confluence Music Group.

Confluence Ministries exists to bring positive change through meaningful connections.

We are a catalyst for collaboration in our community, our city, and our world. We thrive on uniting diverse people and communities for positive impact. Confluence Music Group spreads the joy and community that can be found through celebrating people and the arts.

Genuine connection and collaboration with different people holding different views is what creates our unique heartbeat. We empower people to impact their communities in practical ways through our various “streams of influence” – otherwise known as our programs, classes, and meetings, as well as our collaborative outreaches and events, like Make Music Day, that span across our city, country and world.
