Molly Murphy
Molly Murphy is a recent graduate from the University of Notre Dame who is now down in Nashville full time. While at Notre Dame she was the lead singer and wrote the original songs for Nickels and Dimes, a band that performed locally around South Bend. Now a solo act, Molly has been described as “a young promising songwriter with a big heart,” by music industry professionals and her voice and style has been compared to Joni Mitchell and Joan Baez. The past year has been full of growth for Molly as she released music to critical praise. “Instantly identifiable,” said Jonathan Frahm of the For Folk’s Sake blog, "Murphy gels into accessible, varied music with her gorgeous idiosyncratic lilt." Molly has played in cities around the country including New York, New Orleans, and Tallahassee, and opened for fellow folk artist Heather Maloney. She is looking forward to more music releases and an expanding show schedule in 2022.
