Afro-Cuban Percussion Workshop & Masterclass with Ed Fast, Jorge Viera Fuentes, and legendary percussionists Anthony Carrillo and Bobby Allende
As the leader of Congabop, Ed Fast is a celebrated figure in Hartford. This versatile, Hartt School-trained percussionist is at home with symphony orchestras, premier Broadway shows, or gigging in the bands of legendary favorites like Aretha Franklin. A bandleader, composer, arranger and much-in-demand percussionist, Fast is a multi-instrumentalist who plays drums, timbales, congas and vibes. He will be joined by conguero Jorge Viera Fuentes, virtuoso bongocero Anthony Carrillo and percussion legend Bobby Allende to present a hands-on workshop on Afro-Cuban percussion with bucket drums available to participants.
