Take a Drum Ride with Bob Bloom
The drumming duo, ByA, is Bob Bloom and Arnaldo Rivera. They’re bringing a cargo of colorful drums that you'll get your hands onto at this drumrollick. Together, ByA and you are going to drive energetic songs with high-octane Latin and African rhythms and four-on-the-floor beats. Bob plays his percussion “Spice Rack”. His interactive drumming events have rocked in the Hartford public schools and libraries, at The New Haven International Festival of Arts and Ideas, The Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts, and First Night Celebrations in Hartford, Bridgeport, Westport, Boston, and Worcester. Arnaldo plays congas. A native of Puerto Rico, he was a teacher in Hartford’s middle schools for twenty-three years. He is the pianist and musical director of the 12-member, Latin jazz band, “Bentetu”.
