I have been playing flute for almost 2 years, and I like to break the stigma that flautists can, and should, only play classical music. I play popular songs with background instrumentals (while I need bluebooth to do this, I can also play without it) from artists such as Imogen Heap, Panic! at the Disco, and 30 Seconds to Mars. I grew up in Windsor Locks learning and being involved with music. I played piano since I was 8 and was involved in multiple musical (singing and playing instruments) activities in middle and high school. It was always a way to express myself and to cope with life when it was difficult. Music was the best thing that ever happened to me, and I am grateful for the ability to play it in various forms as a way to enjoy life. Life is too short to be the perfect musician.
