Flying on Instruments Jazz Ensemble
Flying on Instruments is a Huntsville-based, 10-piece jazz band. We play a variety of jazz styles that include standards, Latin, be-bop, and even jazz versions of pop tunes. Our arrangements cover a wide range from Glenn Miller swing to Sinatra ballads, Brazilian bossa nova, Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, and Cuban mambo. Flying on Instruments has performed at a variety of local venues and events around Huntsville such as The Electric Belle at Stovehouse, Bridge Street Town Centre, Huntsville Swing Dance Society's Monthly Swing Dance, Greene Street Market, the Alabama Women in Jazz Festival, Vintage Karma Wine Shop, and The Grid in Hampton Cove. We are available to play as a 10-piece ensemble or as a smaller combo as the venue permits.
