Marylyn Coffey
A writer and always-learning musician from way back, Marylyn combined the two as a songwriter during COVID, using online open mics to "hone her craft." After a couple of live performances for Startlingly Fresh Records and the release of an album of originals ("Can't Feel a Thing"), she's been restlessly going to open mics, adding some covers to the repertoire and checking off items on her list of possible mistakes. That list being almost entirely taken care of, she would like to try a longer program of songs on Make-Music-Day. Influences include Tin Pan Alley, Dylan, Tom Lehrer, and early jazz and blues.
