(SliKc is replacing Jass) Born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri and birthed into music as Mitchell Chandler, “SliKc” was destined to be a musician. As a child, he sang in his family’s church youth choir, under the guidance of his cousins, Charlotte Fletcher, and Dana Mitchell, where began honing his singing abilities and subsequently his skills as a drummer and pianist. In school, Chandler would participate in choir from elementary to high school, graduating high school as a Vocal Music Major from Paseo Academy of Fine & Performing Arts (Class of 2010). While attending Paseo Academy, he received vocal training in the classical, jazz, and gospel music stylings and received high ratings in the All-City District and State music competitions in vocal performance.
