Bruce Casolari
Bruce Casolari is a retired engineer who decided to learn to play the steel pan because he thought it would be fun and the sound makes people happy – and who doesn’t like to have fun and make people happy. Recently, Bruce joined a group of like-minded steel pan players to form the KC Steel Orchestra. Made up of both professional and amateur musicians, KC Steel is Kansas City’s first steelpan band and features the unique sound of these versatile instruments, also known as steel drums. KC Steel is available as a large band, small band, or even soloist to fit the event needs. KC Steel performs familiar and fun calypso, pop, and reggae music. Together, we have even more fun and can make more people happy!
