Comprehensive Arts Institute
The Comprehensive Arts Institute (CAI) is a Non-Profit Organization, founded 2011, by James and Angela Ward of the James Ward Band. The Comprehensive Arts Institute is dedicated to teaching performance arts to youth to develop personal discipline and pride, successful collaboration, and exemplary performance by cultivating the next generation and developing youth with active and creative minds with an understanding and appreciation for the music arts. The CAI facilitates Music Education Workshops in the Kansas City Metropolitan area targeting youth with interest in music performance. The CAI has facilitated Music Education workshops at Paseo Academy of Fine and Performing Arts, Bruce R. Watkins Cultural Heritage Center, Satchel Paige Elementary School, Ivanhoe Neighborhood Center, and at the American Jazz Museum. Our annual workshop entitled Show and Shed consists of a showcase of local talent and educational instruction by local professional musicians.
