John Knechtenhofer: Swiss Alphorn
John Knechtenhofer became interested in the Swiss Alphorn as an outgrowth of his own Swiss Heritage, with roots in Thun, canton Bern, and visits to Switzerland. Intensive studies in Schonried Switzerland under the direction of Fritz Frautschi along with attending the North American Alphorn retreat under the direction of several fine alphornists, William Hopson, Brian Priebe to name a few, John will bring to you music from the Swiss Alps. John lives in Mission KS and is a member of the Kansas Swiss Society.
