“Make Music Lansing” is excited to host Make Music Day 2023 at the Marshall Music stores in Lansing, Troy, Allen Park, and Traverse City. We had a blast celebrating with our communities in 2022 and are looking forwarding to the opportunity to share the passion and joy of making music together again in 2023 across the state of Michigan!
2022 was Marshall Music’s first year hosting Make Music Day, with Sousapalooza at our Lansing store and a Guitar Strum Along in Traverse City. We have four exciting events planned for 2023:
- Sousapalooza at Marshall Music in Lansing
- Sousapalooza at Marshall Music in Troy
- Sousapalooza at Marshall Music in Allen Park
- String Together at Marshall Music in Traverse City
Make Music is a free celebration of music around the world on June 21st. Launched in 1982 in France as the Fête de la Musique, it is now held on the same day in more than 1,000 cities in 120 countries.
Completely different from a typical music festival, Make Music is open to anyone who wants to take part. Every kind of musician — young and old, amateur and professional, of every musical persuasion — pours onto streets, parks, plazas, and porches to share their music with friends, neighbors, and strangers. All of it is free and open to the public.
