Make Music McMinnville

Victor Artis / Oblivion 9

Victor Artis creates music at the intersection of indie rock, alt-pop, indie soul, and indie folk, where rhythm meets reflection and melody carries meaning. As the frontman and founder of Oblivion 9, he brings his songs to life through a fuller, more expansive sound, blending warmth, groove, and atmosphere into something both intimate and cinematic. His writing draws from personal experience, mental health, love, and doubt, vulnerable without performing vulnerability. The songs are honest, lived in, and built to hold whatever the listener brings to them. Live, Oblivion 9 is less about performance and more about presence. Each show feels like a shared room, a conversation rather than a spectacle, where dynamics shift naturally between hushed and full, intimate and expansive. Independent by choice, Victor builds his work slowly and intentionally, treating listeners as a community rather than a metric. The invitation is simple: come close, listen well, stay a while
