Shriya Dharan
Shriya Dharan is a 9th grade honors student at the Avon High School, Connecticut. She has many passions- one of them being singing. Her singing began when she was five years old- learning Indian Classical music.Alongside, she joined the University of Hartford-Hart School of Music, for voice lessons. Currently, at this program, she is a vocal honors student.She has participated in several concerts and has won numerous accolades. To name a few-last year, she stood second in a nationwide Kidizenship competition where she won second place for her singing/song-writing.Her most current accomplishment was at the IGMC competition. After winning first place in her age group for musical theater, she was given the opportunity to perform at the Merkin’s hall in New York. She also has her own YouTube channel. She pursues this passion at school as well through theater, choir and The Northern Regional Music festival.
