Montclair Early Music
We are an inter-generational group of amateur musicians who love to play Medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque music, and occasionally more modern music. Our main instruments are recorders. The music is similar to choral music with soprano, alto, tenor, and bass lines, thereby making it easy to form a consort. We offer classes for beginner adults and children. Scholarships are available. We welcome players of other instruments such as strings (violin, viola, cello, viola da gamba, guitar, mandolin), woodwinds, period instruments (cornetto, sackbut, crumhorn), lute, harp, and to join us. We also welcome singers for our a capella group.
