Gary Hood
In the past !years Gary has played harmonica in Jason Bonham's Zeppelin Evening (2010-17) . Touring with Bonham resulted in meeting Cheap Trick and playing with them on stage on several occasions in 2017 and '22. In 2021 Gary performed live and in the recording studio with Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. He plays on the track "Frustrated" on Joan's latest, all acoustic album "Change Up". This past December he played with Johnny Mac and the Faithful on a 15 date tour of the UK as opening act for Rod Stewart. Gary was the musical director and co-producer of the very successful Lou Reed Birthday celebration Nights at Bowery Electric in NYC 2018-2020. Lou was a friend and a mentor to him during a 10 year working relationship. Gary was in Lou Reed's road crew as a guitar tech from 2002-2012. Gary has also had several of his original compositions recorded by Warrior Soul front man Kory Clarke on his 3 solo albums. He wrote the title track to 2003's Opium Hotel .
