Richard S. Dashnaw
Rich has maintained an active performing career on both guitar and bass. He has played with show bands in the Catskills, jazz trios, big bands, blues bands, chamber groups, and for religious institutions since the age of 12. He played on Andy Craig’s “Beautiful You” cd released in 2008, and performs with Andy regularly. He is a recent new member of The Whiskey Crows based in Long Island, NY - doing multi-instrumentalist duties: guitar, banjo, melodica, accordion. He also plays guitar for an Elvis cover band, and upright bass in a jazz trio. He leads his own jazz trio on guitar, and subs with many groups. He has also organized chamber concerts. Rich has been the upright bassist for Westchester Symphonic Winds since 2015, with concerts at the Tarrytown Music Hall, many venues throughout NY, and July 4th concerts at Caramoor, in Katonah. Rich is excited to have the time to be playing and recording his own music, and getting it out there.
