House music is a global cultural phenomenon, but its roots stem from Chicago and New York’s underground club scenes. For Black Music Month, the Apollo Theater is partnering with Make Music New York to reclaim the origins of House and honor the diversity of Black music. On June 21st, get outside, move your body, and party with 107.5 WBLS' DJ Qua & Dr. Bob Lee, Amateur Night at the Apollo’s own DJ Jess, WHCR’s Tina Dixon, DJ Black Icon 1 from WBAI’s The Harlem Connection,& DJ & songwriter LiKWUiD (Stylez) for an afternoon of House music and dancing beneath our iconic marquee on 125th Street.
