Morgan James
Morgan James is a Juilliard trained singer, actress, songwriter and recording artist in New York City. Her most recent studio album, “Memphis Magnetic” is a love letter to Memphis, Tennessee, with 12 original soul tunes recorded to analog tape. When she became an independent artist, Morgan released "Reckless Abandon" in 2017. One of Morgan’s signatures is recording full album covers: she recently took on The Beatles’ iconic “White Album” to celebrate the 50th anniversary, as well as Joni Mitchell’s seminal “Blue”. Morgan also recorded two full-length albums with Epic Records: “Hunter”, an album of original soul and R&B, and “Morgan James Live”, a celebration of Nina Simone. On Broadway, Morgan was in five back-to-back original companies: The Addams Family, Wonderland, Godspell and Motown: The Musical, and Kristin Chenoweth’s For The Girls. With viral sensation Postmodern Jukebox and with her own channel, Morgan’s music videos have accumulated more than 200 million views.
