HONK the Open Streets: Summer Ascension for Make Music NY
This year's Summer Ascension is HONK NYC's seventh presentation for MMNY, and is part of their 2022 series, HONK! the Open Streets, presented in conjunction with NYC DOT. This year features trumpeter Frank London's No Pasarán Street Band, plus, a special open performance by The HONK Family Band, a collective expression of movement, music, and mayhem. HONK NYC builds community through public art practice. The HONK Family Band allows us to further our mission of connecting communities through music-making, pageantry, audience participation, and education.
