Curtis Gray
Hi, I,m Curtis. I have lived here in Independence since April 2021. I am a retired Fire Captain who has played guitar and sang for most of my life. My Father, also a Firefighter, played professional Pedal Steel guitar in country bands, so I was exposed to both professions at an early age. I grew up listening to, and playing old country like Merle Haggard and rock like Led Zeppelin and the Stones . My music style when I sing is definitely "Country". I love taking classic rock songs and spinning them to my own style. I play both country and rock cover tunes, as well as many originals written and arranged by my brother Brad Gray, who is a professional singer/songwriter in the Sacramento area. I've played in many bands throughout my life, and find that the simple venues with just my guitar and me unplugged, fit me the best!
