Hyrum Kohler
A Keizer native, I graduated from McNary High School in 2016. Last year, I received a Master of Music degree from Indiana University—Bloomginton. I currently serve as a member of the American Viola Society's Youth Advisory Council. I was introduced to music through the wonderful Salem-Keizer School District's program. Though music runs in my family, it has been three or four generations since someone in my family has chosen to make music their career. I perform on an instrument made in 1990 by my first cousin twice removed. I have a passion for finding, advocating for, and performing underrepresented music and composers.
