Mark Geary
Geary has featured on bills with musicians as diverse as Glen Hansard, John Prine, Joe Strummer, Elvis Costello, The Pretenders, Coldplay, and The Frames, amongst others. His latest singles have a quietness that is both cathartic and evocative, setting a new path for Geary's sound. Beautiful, dark, and haunting, they feature deftly interwoven layers of acoustic guitars. Recently, Mark has toured both the north and central regions of Italy as well as Ireland where he now resides. Mark’s new album In The Time Of Locusts was released in February 2024 to critical acclaim. The Irish Times said the album "brims with such thoughtful, gracefully melodic songs that too often your gaze drifts across to some imagined horizon and gets stuck there." With the support of the San Jose -Dublin Sister City Program, Geary will be touring the Bay Area with shows during Make Music Day and the San Jose Jazz Break Room on June 27th.
