Maria Shiel is a singer songwriter and musician from the west of Ireland and has just recently relocated to Santa Fe. She has performed acoustic shows across Ireland, Europe and the USA including CBGB’s in New York and The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville. In 2011 she set up collaborative record label KYO Records to promote electronic musical collaboration internationally, and went on to work with musicians globally. Through KYO Records she released music under her electronic moniker MS44 and collaborated with acclaimed Irish producer Eomac. Her latest 'transatlantic americana' album, ‘Fire in the Sea!’ is an homage to the landscapes of Ireland and America and the musical connection between both landscapes. It’s lead single, Calling Me Back features the legendary Steve Wickham from The Waterboys on fiddle and received record of the week on the RTE Radio Recommends Playlist in Ireland in late 2020. She is delighted at the option to finally play for Santa Fe!
