Make Music
Sheboygan

About

The City of Sheboygan will celebrate Make Music Day for the first time in 2022.

On the summer solstice, June 21st, Make Music Day is observed across the globe. What began in France as the Fête de la Musique in 1982, is now a celebration of music in more than 1,000 cities across 120 countries. Completely different from a typical music festival, Make Music is open to all who want to take part. Every kind of musician — young and old, amateur and professional, of every musical persuasion — pours onto streets, parks, plazas, and porches to share their music with friends, neighbors, and strangers. All of it is free and open to the public.

With a number of options to both make and enjoy music, Sheboygan is thrilled to be joining this worldwide celebration of music. We hope you’ll join us on June 21st!

Sousapalooza Sheboygan

Debuting in Chicago in 2011, a Sousapalooza brings together brass, wind and percussion players of all ages and abilities to sightread the music of the March King, John Philip Sousa. This June 21st, Sheboygan is set to join Make Music cities across the country in bringing Sousa’s music to life. All are invited to participate. No auditioning, no rehearsing… just making music.

We also invite you to join us for Sheboygan Sings, a community-wide choral celebration. Join voices with friends, neighbors, and those you’ve not yet met as we sing well-known songs.  Lyrics will be provided. We hope you’ll sing along and enjoy the fun of making music, together.
