Mark your calendar for Friday, June 21st, as we celebrate Make Music Day at Southbury and Heritage Village Active Adult Community! This exciting event will feature a variety of musical performances and workshops for residents and guests to enjoy. Whether you prefer to sit back and listen to the sounds of talented musicians or take part in a music workshop to learn a new skill, there’s something for everyone at Make Music Day. Come on out and enjoy the festivities with your neighbors and friends in a beautiful and vibrant setting. You won’t want to miss this exciting celebration of music across our community!

How to Make Music on June 21st
Note that Make Music Southbury will take place in Heritage Village during the day until 5:00 pm and throughout greater Southbury from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm.

If you are interested in performing during the day, contact Tracy-Ann Samuel at tsamuel@heritagevillagect.com or (203) 264-9644 ext. 223.
If you would like to host or perform from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, you can use our “matchmaking“ software. All venues and musicians can register, create profiles, and find a match for their Make Music Southbury performance.

NOTE:
- During the daytime (until 5:00 pm), all performances and activities will take place in Heritage Village.
- From 5:00 pm on, all performances and activities will take place throughout Southbury.
- Once there are musicians and venues you can reach-out to each other and make a match.
- If, as a musician, you have your own location then your registration as a musician is all you need to do.

Is it on a Saturday every year?
Make Music Day is a global event on June 21st of every year, this year it’s a Saturday.
Do you get paid?
No, although you can feel free to request tips from the audience Make Music Day is a free event for everyone. It’s a chance to celebrate music as a whole and show the community what talent is out there.
What will the locations provide for music makers?
Public locations will provide an electrical outlet.
What if it rains?
Most likely we’d have to cancel outdoor locations. Some outdoor locations may have inside back-up locations. Inside locations will go as planned.
Who can get involved?
Literally anyone. If you ever wanted to perform in public now is your chance.
