Participatory Percussion Class with Jacob Graham
Jacob Graham is a drummer, percussionist, and educator from Norwich, CT. He studied music education, jazz performance, and world music from Ithaca College, where he received a Bachelor of Music in 2021. Currently, Graham is the drummer for local rock band Fleet, winner of the 2019 Mohegan Sun Locals Live Award, as well as playing in The Funktion, a live music residency in New London, CT. Additionally, Graham is an instructor at String Theory School of Music in New London, CT, where he teaches drums and percussion, as well as facilitating groups such as the Teen Rock Band and Drum Circle. Graham’s passion for education comes from the social and emotional effect that music and rhythm can have in an individual, group, or community, combined with his fascination and study of groove- and pattern-based music from around the world.
