About

On the summer solstice, June 21st, Make Music Day is observed across the globe. What began in France as the Fête de la Musique in 1982, is now a celebration of music in more than 1,000 cities across 120 countries. Completely different from a typical music festival, Make Music is open to all who want to take part. Every kind of musician — young and old, amateur and professional, of every musical persuasion — pours onto streets, parks, plazas, and porches to share their music with friends, neighbors, and strangers. All of it is free and open to the public.

Stevens Point will celebrate Make Music Day with Heid Music and musicians at Pfiffner Pioneer Park starting at 5:00pm. Middle and high school students from the Aber Suzuki Center and Central Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestra will perform, followed by the CWSO Steel Band — join them for a dynamic, interactive performance!

At 7:00pm, the Stevens Point City Band will take the stage.

All are welcome!
