Make Music Stevens Point

Ring in the summer with a worldwide day of music! On June 21, celebrate Make Music Stevens Point on streets, sidewalks, and parks across the city, with music performed by anyone and free for everyone.

About

On the summer solstice, June 21st, Make Music Day is observed across the globe. What began in France as the Fête de la Musique in 1982, is now a celebration of music in more than 1,000 cities across 120 countries. Completely different from a typical music festival, Make Music is open to all who want to take part. Every kind of musician — young and old, amateur and professional, of every musical persuasion — pours onto streets, parks, plazas, and porches to share their music with friends, neighbors, and strangers. All of it is free and open to the public.

Create Portage County will be celebrating Make Music Day by encouraging our friends and neighbors to get out and enjoy live music around the County. Check out our curated list of live music and events happening. We also invite you to join us in Downtown Stevens Point, where there will be musicians spread around busking.
