Gettin’ Ready for #mmbos16

February 12, 2016

Make Music Boston is back at it for 2016, prepping to ring in your summer in the best way – through participatory and pop-up music events around our city on the summer solstice, June 21.

Last year, a little rain thwarted a few performances, but we were able to jam with Girls Rock Campaign Boston at the Lawn on D, soar with the Circle Singers at the Harriet Tubman House, and toot our horns with Too Many Trombones (shown above) on the Rose Kennedy Greenway. This year, we plan to produce more outrageous projects and partnerships!

Check out a few updates below, and please get in touch to get involved. We are brainstorming the who/what/where of the festival, and would love to hear from you. The official website and match-making software will be up and running shortly, but we wanted to give you a chance to get the new info now!

UPDATES:

  • Make Music Boston is now an official program of the non-profit Kadence Arts. We are excited to be a part of an organization dedicated to bringing new music opportunities to Boston!
  • Welcome Genevieve Holmes as our new Executive Director! Genevieve is passionate about music and ran a non-profit while living and working in Germany. She looks forward to diving deeper into the arts scene in Boston through Make Music Day!
