Nilli Tayidi
Nilli Tayidi, viola, age 16, is a rising senior at Little Miami High School. She started playing viola at the age of 7, beginning her private studies with Carolyn Quinn and transferring in 2019 to Marna Street. Nilli has played in the Northern Cincinnati Youth Orchestras and Cincinnati Junior Strings, and currently plays in the CSYO Philharmonic and the Nouveau Chamber Players. She has played in the 2019 Honors Performance Series Carnegie Hall Symphony Orchestra and the 2020 All-Star Honor Orchestra. Her summer music experiences have included Interlochen Summer Viola Institute, Sphinx Performance Academy at Curtis, and Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival. She will be attending Meadowmount this summer. She was a Finalist in the 2019 and 2020 CSYO Philharmonic Concerto Competition, and was awarded Honorable Mention in the 2020 and 2021 David L. Pierson Concerto Competition and the 2020 Jack and Lucille Wonnell Young Artist Competition.
