Batalá & Mambembe
Batalá New York, the premier all-women Afro Brazilian percussion ensemble, will close the evening with a high-energy performance. They will be joined by Mambembe, an all-gender Samba Reggae band led by percussionist Everton Isidoro from Salvador da Bahia, Brazil. The joint performance will feature a basey pulse and energizing claves, along with fun choreography that the community can join in. Put on your dancing shoes and get ready to shake something.
