Naznin Seamon and Hassanal Abdullah

Naznin Seamon is an award-winning poet and a short story writer of the 90s. She has been living in New York since 1997 where she went to LaGuardia Community College for her AA Degree and to Queens College for BA and MA Degrees in English. She is now a High School ENL & ELA teacher for the NYC Department of Education. Recipient of Homer European Medal of Poetry and Art (2016) and Ianicious International Prize of Klemens Janicki (2021) from Poland, Hassanal Abdullah, a Bangladeshi-American poet, is the author of 50 books in various genres. Apart from Bengali and English, his book, Under the Thin Layers of Light, has been translated into Chinese and Polish and were published from Taiwan (2020) and Poland (2021). He introduced a new form of sonnet, Swatantra Sonnet, with seven- line stanza pattern and abcdabc efgdefg rhyming scheme and wrote a 304-page epic 'Nakshatra O Manusher Prochhad' illustrating human relation with cosmology.
