Ai Matsui & Force Majeure (AM/FM)
Ai Matsui & Force Majeure (a.k.a. AM/FM) is a 4 piece Alternative Rock band formed by Ai Matsui (singer songwriter, rhythm guitar, key) with Joe Shavel (lead guitar), Dan Kocieniewski (drums), and Chico O Potleigh (bass) . All members are located in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. The band plays Ai's original songs mostly, which are inspired by her life experiences, but also does covers of PJ Harvey, Sex Pistols, etc. Equally comfortable tearing up or providing a loungey brunch vibe, the band builds each set around Ai's original compositions, with a few carefully curated cover songs.
