The Royal Yard (Stuart Markus & Robin Greenstein)

Stuart Markus is a well known singer-songwriter, acoustic guitarist, harmony singer and chanteyman on Long Island, in NYC and the northeast. He has been performing professionally for over 25 years, solo, as leader of the folk-rock harmony trio Gathering Time, and with Robin Greenstein as The Royal Yard. His original, traditional-style ballad "Gloucester Ladies" won 1st prize in last year's Portsmouth Maritime Folk Festival songwriting contest. NYC resident Robin Greenstein has been performing for over 40 years as a singer-songwriter and folk performer who specializes in songs of and about women through the centuries. In college she was an intern for the famous folkie Hedy West ("500 Miles") and has toured internationally, including Europe and Japan. She is also a well known guitar and banjo teacher.
